La Familia Sana has become La Familia Artística this year!

When La Familia Sana applied for the CA Arts Council Grant to design a mural in Cloverdale, we knew we wanted to honor, uplift, and reflect local high school students (that have been historically excluded from placemaking). We envisioned a large-scale mural that authentically represent THEIR vision of Cloverdale's diverse spirit and future. By participating in this process students will see themselves as co-designers of the visual representation of where the city is, where it is going, and how we will get there.

Cuando La Familia Sana solicitó la subvención del Consejo de las Artes de California para diseñar un mural en Cloverdale, sabíamos que queríamos honrar, elevar y reflejar a los estudiantes de secundaria locales (que históricamente han sido excluidos de la creación de lugares). Imaginamos un mural a gran escala que representara auténticamente SU visión del espíritu diverso y el futuro de Cloverdale. Al participar en este proceso, los estudiantes se verán a sí mismos como co-diseñadores de la representación visual de dónde está la ciudad, hacia dónde va y cómo llegaremos allí.
